“Because I’ve used Redmond’s Real Salt™ in my kitchen for years, I was thrilled to discover that the same trace mineral sea salt is now available for horses–both in a granulated top-dress and a natural rock for licking. Both products are harvested from an underground source in southern Utah–a huge deposit of salt left there from the evaporation of an ancient and pristine sea. Now, all of my horses have free-choice access to a Redmond Rock salt lick. Its naturally irregular shape is much more appealing than a chemically processed and hardened brick. When my horses are on the road, I prefer to use Daily Red, a granulated form added to the feed, that way, I insure my horses are getting the right balance of salt. With the added stress of traveling, I feel it is critical to my horse’s hydration and over-all vitality, as well as insuring a rapid recovery from strenuous exercise.
“I know that a hydrated horse is a healthy horse. Feeding Redmond Rocks to my horses has encouraged them to drink more water. The important balance of salt, trace minerals, and water is vital to a horse’s health.”

"Redmond Rock is a great product! I can tell you first hand that I tasted it and loved it myself–it is like a sweet salt, very yummy. My horse ignored the salt block in his stall, but when he tried Redmond Rock he went crazy over it. It was like candy for him. If you know me you know I’m not a man to compromise on quality. I’m committed to doing the best I can so my horses can be the best they can be, and that’s why I use Redmond Rock."

"My horses are much happier and healthier since I started using Redmond Rock. I replaced their feed supplements with Redmond Rock and continued the same training and conditioning program. After a short time, their coats and hooves were stronger, their cross country stamina improved, and they stayed hydrated much longer."

We gave more than 50 horses access to Redmond Rock and four other leading mineral salt blocks, and they chose to go to Redmond Rock. We let our horses have it free choice — stallions, show horses, young horses in training, some older boarder horses and even my mustangs for competition — every single horse eats on them. We put my 26 year old stud on Redmond Daily Red Plus to ease his stiffness. Even with the cold, he leaped up in the air like a three year old the other day and I believe Redmond Rock gives him some relief. After seeing the difference in the joints after feeding Daily Red Plus we are going to add it to all the horses in training."
